By Magnificent Words,His Praise Stands

From generation to generation, the hymns serve Christians everywhere  in the worship of God,the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. By His words, the words of God creation came into being, according to His perfect design. He gave commands that stood. After creation, the benefits of words given form in speech began to serve the purposes of God ,especially in the area of the praise of the Almighty. By magnificent words His praise stood.And hymns remain the way by which worshippers make their praise of God to stand.Take for example the hymn; Ancient & Modern 167.That hymn is the handiwork  of an inspired hymn writer who marshaled magnificent words about creation,God's power,protection and care. Ezinne (Lady) Francisca Eziunoamaka Eboka Goes Home Amid Encomiums

The remains of a quintessential Church woman and mother to many,Lady Francisca Eboka ,87,was interred today in her Idimuojei village of Umuezei Quarter,  Asaba Delta State after a well attended  funeral  Church service at Holy Trinity Church.Not a few defied the scorching sun ,to a ensure that they bid her farewell at the grave site. While delivering the sermon earlier  at the Church service, the Rt.Rev.Justus Mogekwu, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Asaba was full of kind words for the  departed as he recalled how she supported and encouraged the late husband, Chief C.J.C Eboka to render immerse service to God and humanity. Those who knew her very well in her lifetime said F.E. as she was fondly called by her husband,Sir (Chief) C.J.C Eboka JP was a very supportive and submissive wife.Though a devoted Catholic prior to her marriage to an Anglican, she kept the faith until her last day on earth.Besides,she served in various capacities.
